I absolutely love the regular iPhone 13. Itâs really hard to find anything it doesnât do perfectly. Great battery life, nice display, good cameras. I also like the iPhone 14 too with more ram and small upgrades. I havenât owned a 14 but if I donât like the base 15 Iâll buy a 14 for 100$ less when the 15 comes out.
iPhone 13 is even practically the same as iPhone 12, and 12 is still well worth it in 2023, so you can answer your question for yourself. 13 has a little bit better battery life, camera quality is arguably the same/better. Buying iPhone 14 shouldnât be even considered. Coming from XR you will feel refreshed user experience either buying 12 or 13.
